Saturday night @ Sentosa ...

Heard about how nice is Sentosa Siloso beach nowsaday so decided to drive in with my mum and sis to check out the place ... It's a smooth drive in with a gentle breeze blowing .... Found our way to the beach easily with the many directions board around the Island....

Parked at the beach carpark (S$1.05 per entry). It's a pretty big carpark and packed with cars.

Quite a big crowded and many people were here for the performance "Songs of the Sea" priced at S$6 per pax. It's something like the musical fountain but with live performances from trained staffs and more lighting/fire effects. Could see the colourful water displays from the beach and the ending fireworks display.

The lighted path was a hit with kids and adults. Was mesmorised by the light when walking over it, felt like walking on the Milky Way .... magical.....

Took a walk along the beach ... beach bars with nice settings and comfy looking chairs ...

Ah Fai and Mel going for the luge ride. It costs S$9 for the skyride up and the luge ride down. According to them, the skyride is not those who's afraid of height but the luge ride was fun. The luge ride lasted around 3mins since it's pretty fast. About 30-40km/hr when coming down but not to worry as their staffs will guide you on the safety procedures such as braking and steering during the ride.
Overall, an interesting place to spend your Saturday soaking up the sun along the beach in the day and ending the night with a nice cool drink at the many bars along the beach ....

Found a cake .....

Weddings are normally messy and chaotic, at least it's the case for me. 30th Dec 2006 ended so fast even before my brain could processed the day's happenings and take mental snapshots of the many funny and candid moments. So like most married couple, we had only our wedding shoots, wedding dinner photos and video to mark and to remember that wonderful day.

However, i had no idea of a wonderful surprise waiting for moi in my refrigerator. Found this cake hiding in a corner of a fridge when cleaning up the fridge. Da..da...da..dum ...

My Wedding Cake ....

It's complimentary from Goodwood Park Hotel and i guess all couples who held their wedding dinner with them will get one. I do not think i will eat it because the cake is the only physical reminder of the wedding. So i guess it's going to stay in there for a long long time.

I may not recall many details of the wedding but i have the blessings and love from many of our colleagues, friends and relatives. This may seems a bit late but still ....

THANK YOU for making the day special for us! *Muacks*

Finally ... ToastBox....

Been wanting to try out ToastBox for quite some time but it's always crowded. Finally on a raining wednesday night, managed to grab the last available table at Toastbox Plaza Singapura .. hee..hee..hee..

My sister and moi while waiting for the toast to arrive.

Finally our bread arrived. Our Peanut Butter Toast and Kaya Butter Toast. However we noted 1 corner of the Peanut Butter Toast missing ..... That was dreadful because i loved the crispy corner, lifted my head up and found the culprit ...arrrrgggghhhh....

THE CULPRIT .... but couldn't do anything to him since he paid for the food and drinks...

Shed tears of laughter today!!!

Last minute movie date with Elsa. her cousin and husband to watch Wild Hogs at The Cathay Cineplex at 7:15pm. Met up with Elsa around 6:50pm and got the tickets at 7pm. Surprisingly, we still managed to get a pretty good aisle seats for the for the 4 of us.

It's my first visit to Cathay Cineplex after they refurbished the place. Looks really spacious inside the building and of course looks really new too. Inside the cinema which is The Grand Cathay, place really look good too. Comfortable seating with ample leg room which means people sitting inside the row able to get past us without the ladies trying to squeeze their legs up the chair and the guys standing up. Oh, and the best of all .... Their popcorns really tasted good with real taste of caramel and toasted to a light shade of brown ... yummie ... hahaha

Story:
Firm friends since high school, Doug (Allen), Woody (Travolta), Bobby (Lawrence), and Dudley (Macy) are a bunch of aging, middle-income suburbanites who like to strap on their Harleys at the weekend. Allen is a dentist, Macy is a computer programmer, Lawrence is a hen-pecked plumber whose year off to write a self-help book has just come to an end, and Travolta's high-powered investor used to have it all... until his supermodel girlfriend dumped him. These are four guys in need of some serious Adventure and they find it when Woody suggests they take a week off and ride to the coast for the thrill of it, because it's there, because people like road movies and funny things tend to happen on the open road to the Pacific ......

Despite the many negative reviews for this movie .... i still enjoy it tremendously and found myself laughing throughout and the laughs just came louder and harder as the movie progressed. The foursome kept getting into incrediblely funny situations such as meeting up a nice decent family who came for a swim at the lagoon just after macy convinced the rest to go skin dipping in the exact same lagooon. It's more of like old-school kind of jokes and it reminds me of my younger days where my friends and myself would bowed over with laughter over silly things which might seems stupid to others.

And i'm crossing my fingers in hope that my friendships with all of you will remain firm for the many years to come regardless of whatever stupid and silly things i do .......

Movie Time !!!

It's Friday!!! WowWeeeeeeee!!!

After some discussion with Eamon and Alyssa, the four of us decided to watch the Korean comedy "200 Pounds Beauty" at Eng Wah Suntec .....

Movie Plot: Hanna is a lip sync vocalist for Ammy, the famous Korean pop singer. Though Hanna is always ignored due to her appearance, she has always been a bright and happy girl until Ammy humiliated her in front of Sang-jun, the one she secretly admired. Finally, she made a life-changing decision: to have a major cosmetic surgery. With this move, will her unrequited love be returned?

Romantic comedy starring the beautiful Kim A-Joong and good-looking Joo Jin-Mo. An entertaining show with lots of Korean kinda of humor and touching scenes that squeezed out tears from the audiences (or should i say just me) accompanied with nice songs.

As with all Korean shows, lead actors and actresses parade their fashion attires and many pretty accessorise which seems exclusive to the Korean fashion scenes.

Ohhhh ..... starting to miss the shopping and food in South Korean again ...... hahaha

Lunch at the airport which costs about S$11 .... tasted okie except for the sauce on the rice ... too sweet for us ...

Finally .... boarding time ....

A picture of us on the plane while waiting for boarding to complete .....

View from my window seat ..... Normally i would prefer a aisle seat so i can stretch my leg by walking around in the cabin. However, this a short flight so we opt for the window seats instead ...
Chicken with rice for me ....

Mutton with rice for him .....

It had been a nice trip but both of us are just glad to be home .......
